...und zwar auf meinen beiden Rechnern nich!
Auf meinem ersten Rechner bricht die Installation einfach immer während der zweiten CD ab. Das Problem wird auch nich näher erläutert, sondern es wird gesagt ich soll die log aufbewahren fall ich mich an den technischen support wenden wolle. Der Hotline-Mann meinte dann ich solle mal die CD2 auf die festplatte kopieren und es von da probieren -> der selbe fehler!
Übers Netzwerk von einem anderen CD-Laufwerk installieren geht auch nich! wieder der fehler!
Dann hab ichs auf dem andern rechner installiert. Da gings zwar zu installieren, aber es mag da wohl die grafikkarte nich, weshalb ich wen ichs starte und im Hauptmenu bin nix sehe. nur n schwartzer bildschirm, der Nwn-Mauszeiger und die Menu-klick-geräusche.
Dann hatte ich die Idee, den NWN-Ordner einfach übers netzwerk auf meinen ersten rechner rüberzuschieben (um so die installation zu umgehn), aber wenn ichs dann startete... ->
luescreen - Schwerer Ausnahmefehler ... bla bla! Auch wenn ich übers LAN die auf dem andern PC installierte Version starte hab ich n bluescreen...*HEUL*
Wenn mir keiner helfen kann, werd ich heute Nachmittag meinen Rechner Formatieren...

-älteres Creative 6x DVD-Laufwerk

ich betone nocheinmal: Hilfe!

zuerst mach mal das windoof 98 runter!!!!! (xp läuft mittlerweile stabiler als jedes win vorher!!! ohne bluescreens!!!). dann lad dir die neuesten treiber für die GeForce runter (ganz wichtig...mußte ich auch machen)..... auch ein update aller anderen treiber wäre ganz gut........ vielleicht fehlen aber auch ein paar systemdateien von win (gehen gerade beim 98er öfter mal verloren und kein mensch weiß wohin), installier einfach über die alte version drüber (rabiat ich weiß, aber funktionierte bei mir bis jetzt immer )...beim anderen pc lags wohl an der grafikkarte... ohne geforce, kyro2 oder ati radeon läuft nichts! schon bei nem kollegen mit voodoo 5 getestet, nix! auch die tnt macht nicht mit!

Hier ein paar Lösungsansätze aus der Sektion Technische Hilfe auf PNW.de:
Falls du Probleme bei der Installation hat, probiere folgendes:
Schaue ob die CD verkratzt oder schmutzig ist. Manchmal hilft einwenig putztn. Versuche schaue ob die CD erkannt wird oder ob sie aif einem andern Computer funktioniert. Dies hilft herauszufinden wo das Problem liegt.
Ein anderes bekanntes Problem ist der Konflikt zwischen dem "VIA Chip" und einigen Soundkarten. Falls du ein Motherboard mit VIA Chip benutzt, installiere den neusten 4in1 Treiber von der VIA Homepage und den neusten Treiber deiner Soundkarte. Falls das Problem immer noch besteht, kannst deine Sound Karte temprär löschen, und schauen ob dies das Problem löst.

Chris C sends along this suggestion as well to fake a full install from a minimum install:
The following suggestion applies to those who are unable to successfully install the Play Disk. It is not valid for those encountering difficulties during the installation of Install Disk 2.
If your install errors out during the Play Disk, but you are able to manually copy the entire CD to your hard drive without error, try the following:
1. Perform a 'Minimum Install' of the game.
2. Create an 'ambient' folder inside your Neverwinter Nights folder if one does not already exist. Copy the contents of the 'ambient' folder on the Play Disk to this folder.
3. Create a 'movies' folder inside your Neverwinter Nights folder if one does not already exist. Copy the contents of the 'movies' folder on the Play Disk to this folder.
4. Create a 'music' folder inside your Neverwinter Nights folder if one does not already exist. Copy the contents of the 'music' folder on the Play Disk to this folder.
5. Copy the contents of the 'data' folder on the Play Disk to the 'data' folder that is in your Neverwinter Nights folder.
6. Open the nwn.ini file that is in your Neverwinter Nights folder.
7. Find the following line: (where X represents some drive letter)
AMBIENT=X:ambient
and replace it with
AMBIENT=.ambient
8. Find the following line: (where X represents some drive letter)
MOVIES=X:movies
and replace it with
MOVIES=.movies
9. Find the following line: (where X represents some drive letter)
MUSIC=X:music
and replace it with
MUSIC=.music
10. Save this file.
11. Try running the game.
