U have to open the inventory with tab i think, than go to the pickaxe and use it with again left mouse and cursor up. Now there must be a 1 one top of the pickaxe icon. Close the inventory with TAB again. Now is u wanna fight hit the '1' key or the space key to go in fight mode. U have now different fight moves: left mouse + cursor up = forward attack left mouse + cursor right = left to right attack left mouse + cursor left = right to left attack left mouse + cursor down = blocking later u can learn from npc to fight better and use combo attacks. |

its the same with spells. if you are attacking with forward, you can perform some combos if you press the attack button when the hero stops moving the sword. |

Personally I prefer using the keyboard only for most of the time. I find it a lot better that way. You can basically do anything using the strg, alt, and arrow keys. Alt + Up to jump, strg+up, strg+left, strg+right to attack (when in attack mode). I only use the mouse now and then for looking around or changing the camera mode. Hope you have as much fun with gothic as we all have |
