Need help, dont speak German very well. Please
I cant find a english MSGboard so maybe you supercool germans can help me ;) No matter what I do in this game, my frame rate is always at 20-23, 1600*1200*32 or 640*480*16 or 800*600*32*4xFSAA. Every thing gives me the same framerate, anyone got any ideas?? I tried tuning off every "fog" setting in Uniturner, since the readme said that the game wouldnt run with fog on, but nothing happenned same 20FPS with fog on and of. RADEON VIVO MS certified 3276 drivers. Duron600@1050 Abit KT7 raid WinXP SB Live. *****PLEASE READ THIS**** 20 FPS sucks.... Even If you dont use a radeon, would you be so nice and telle me how many FPS you get, and what video card you use. Thanx. |

OK, ich mag Franzosen zwar auch nicht, aber das musste doch jetzt nicht sein, oder?! Die Frsge war beantwortet, bzw ich hab eine Hilfe gegeben! Dein Post war einfach nur sinnlos! Sowas schreibst du besser in allgemeine Forum aber hier nicht! |

Ich weis nich was ihr verstanden habt, aber ich hab verstanden das bei ihm die folgenden auflösungen nicht gehn(siehe oben bei dem Englender). |

Ok, let me try to explain. No matter what Sys you use, Gothic got a "Frame Blocker" to fix the frame rate around 20 FPS. This is necessary to avoid heavy errors like the "Divide by Zero" error. There exists a Mod Kit for Gothic, that contains the "Spacer", an Application to edit the main Surface of Gothic. You can load the whole world in the spacer. The first Ver of the spacer did not contain the "Frame Blocker". With small objects I could easily reach 1000-2000 Frames per second! But it caused the "Divide by Zero". I could also reproduce the error by loading the "real world" of Gothic. I ran at 50-80 Fps. With the same result. The earlier versions of the spacer do contain the Frame Blocker, and now it runs without causing any crash. So I can only say you got to stick with the 20 FPS, I guess we all have to do. (Even me on my TB 1,4 GHZ /GF2 Pro). But sometimes, at some points, I can reach around 40-60 Frames for a few seconds. But running the same area one minute later only got 20 FPS like before. But after all, constantly 20 FPS aren`t that bad. |

Thanx for the reply. I am sorry I got you all arguing abou forigners, I thought that more germans understood english, I mean I live in Denmark just north of you guys and everyone older than 10 knows english. But thanx again for the answer. |

Virtually everbody can read it as long as you keep it simple. Those guys above, with the few posts, are not typical. I hope. |
