Helfe Mir bitte! (Niederlander, don't mind my German)
Hi there! I hope you people will help me! Sorry that I don't speak German, I'm learning it actually! :) My problem is: Flames from torches and even fire balls I can't see in the game! It's strange, cuz its like the game sees the mountains as something closer to me then the flame on the torch! So when I stand in front of the standing torch and look up I can see the flame coming from behind a mountain far away. It's VERY strange and I haven't experiensed this problem ever before. I hope someone can help me solve this problem. Thanks already. ;) Oh and one little question to add: When will the English game be released? |

Now I noticed, after playing the demo again, that it's not only the fire but also the blood and the firing effect you normally have to see when the smith is working on a weapon. I explain again, it's just like the effect are taking place BEHIND the background (backgound= mauntains, or just things further away then there where the effect has to be). I'm really craving for an answer here guys. I really wan't to enjoy this game very much! |

for the release date look at www.gothic.com and if I got you right your problem is that there is a failure with graphics? plz gimme details abt your system... ...Suspect... |

System specs: AMD Athlon 800mhz, 256mbRAM and the thing that causes the problem is probably my GeForce 3!! 3 other guys with a GeForce 3 have the same problem I heared just today! |

I have the same Problems with my geforce3 Graphic card. I have the Problems only with Detonator drivers from nvidia. but other drives make problems with the inventory. We must wait for a better driver for our geforce 3 cards. |

You're right. I'm pretty sure they'll make a patch for it or put it in the official English Gothic game. They won't think "Ahh.. screw those GeForce3 owners!" Nehh, the devs won't think that way! |

Hi V. The Great, I'm having the same Prob. with GeForce3 and Detonator 22.50 so I downgrade to Detonator 12.90 and it works. There is only a minor Prob with the Invetory but Fire and Magic Effects work fine |

You said that you are using the Demo-Version? The Demo is far away from the real game with patch 1.08h (available here at worldofgothic at "Downloads". Maybe the patch even works with the Demo, so I think that you should try this. If you are playing the real game, i can tell you that you are not the only one with GF3-problems. I am again recommending the official patch 1.08h, because it corrects a lot of mistakes and adds GF3-Features. If this doesn´t work, I would wait on the next patch... |

Thank you very much! No matter what, I'll buy the game! Does the patch also works for the english game? That's the question! If that official patch fixes things and adds GeForce3 features than I presume it'll be included in the English version, don't you think? |

I suspect we have a small misunderstanding here. VTG plays the English Demo2. This demo is afaik based on the German version including all the patches. Shadow14 talks about the German demo, which of course does not include patches. Vincent, have you noticed something like 1.08j clearly visible in the menu or on the startup screen? Talking about this inventory issue. If it´s the same I had with one of the detonators on my GeForce2MX, then it´s rather unimportant. There was an item invisible in the list from time to time. Fortunately the lists are sortet. But don´t blame me if the GeForce3 problems are different. |

Yes I play the English demo and yes I see 1.08j somewhere on the main menu. That probably means I have the newest version? |
